Why You Should Always Accept Accountability as a Leader in Your Family

No one’s perfect, and that includes parents. Admitting when we’ve goofed up (because we all do!) shows our kids that it’s okay to make mistakes. What we do afterward is what really counts.

Taking the lead in owning up to our slip-ups isn’t just about us. It’s about showing our kids how to handle mistakes. They will trust more and feel safe to acknowledge their mistakes as well. When we can discuss mistakes and lessons learned, we grow positive intimacy and closeness as a family.
